Police Log: Kayak Capsizes at Makamah Beach, Woman Overdoses

Excerpts from the Northport Police Department log.

Thursday, April 21

At 6:31 p.m., police received a report of a dispute between two tenants on Laurel Avenue. The woman told police the man who lives on the third floor has been sending her unwanted text messages in the middle of the night asking her to meet with him. She also told police he has removed her wind chimes on two occasions because he finds them to be loud. The two tenants went on a date together in February as friends and he has not left her alone since, she said. Police advised the woman to not answer any of his texts and to block his phone number. She may seek to file a restraining order against the man in the future. Officers advised the man to stop messaging the female tenant and to call police if he has a problem with her wind chimes.
