Police Log: Over 100 Teens Attend Loud Party, Man Arrested for DWI
Here are recent excerpts from the Northport Police Department log.

Wednesday, June 10
At 7:45 a.m., police reported a village code violation where a man was mowing his lawn too early on Earl Avenue. Officers advised the man of the village code and he waited to mow the lawn until later in the day.
At 4 p.m., police reported a hazardous condition in which a vehicle on a tow truck got stuck in wires on Hillside Place. The driver told police he was waiting for his co-worker to come with tools to get the car loose.

At 11:22 p.m., a 22-year-old Huntington man was arrested for second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Fort Salonga Road.
Thursday, June 11

9:30 p.m., a 30-year-old Smithtown man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, no interlock device and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Waterside Avenue.
Friday, June 12
At 11:18 p.m., police received a report of a loud party on Logan Hill Road. Offcers arrived and found about 100 teenagers in the street. Officers told the teens to leave and they left without further incident.
Sunday, June 14
At 5:18 a.m. Michael Cargell, 20, of East Meadow, was arrested and charged with DWI on Scudder Avenue.
At 8:16 a.m., police received a report of a dog left in a car on Church Street. Officers saw that all windows were left partially open and the vehicle was parked in the shade. Oficers did not find the dog to be in distress.
At 2:20 p.m., police arrested a 64-year-old Northport man for disorderly conduct on Eatons Neck Road. Police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance at Steers Beach in which a man, who was not a village resident, refused to buy a beach sticker. Police said the man began yelling and cursing. He was subsequently put under arrest.
