Police Log: Unlicensed Driver Drove Drunk, Man Charged With Selling Pot

Excerpts from the Northport Police Department log.

Tuesday, Jan. 5

At 12:19 a.m., Santino Fufidio, 25, of East Northport, was arrested and charged with DWI, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, second degree aggravated unlicensed operation (based on mandatory suspension), failure to wear safety belt and equipment charges (adequate steering mechanism). Fufidio was arrested after authorities issued a traffic stop on Laurel Avenue.

At 6:59 p.m., police received a report of grand larceny on Burt Avenue after a woman said someone made a $200 purchase using her account number from a Neiman Marcus Group credit card without her permission.

Wednesday, Jan. 6

At 10:18 p.m., police reported a suspicious event in which lights were flickering inside a house under construction on Burr Avenue. Officers arrived to the scene to determine there was an electric malfunction in the house.

Thursday, Jan. 7

At 2:55 p.m., police reported a criminal act of graffiti on Woodbine Avenue.

Friday, Jan. 8

At 3:51 p.m., William Green, 28, of Greenlawn, was arrested after police saw him selling marijuana in exchange for cash on Fort Salonga Road. He was charged with fourth degree criminal sale of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.
