Police: Man Rummaged Through Several Vehicles in Northport

Do you recognize this man? Police are looking for him.

Police are looking to identify the man who rummaged through several vehicles in the Northport area and was able to steal items from a vehicle in Elwood on Nov. 7.

According to authorities, the man stole assorted personal items from a vehicle on Vestry Court in Elwood at approximately 5:25 a.m.

The man, who is wanted for petty larceny, fled with the proceeds in an unknown vehicle.

Police described the man as white, medium build, about 210 pounds, 6-feet-tall and in his early 30s with a short crew cut or shaved head. He was wearing camo pants and a flannel checkered jacket with a black hoodie, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
