Remembering Northport Lives Lost on 9/11
Nine residents from Northport and East Northport were among the nearly 3,000 people killed on this day 14 years ago.
Nearly 3,000 people died in the 9/11 attacks on this day 14 years ago. Among those killed were five Northport residents and four East Northport residents:

- Ronald Comer— Northport
- Michael Duffy— Northport
- Thomas Farrelly— East Northport
- Philip T. Hayes— East Northport
- Kevin Murphy— Northport
- Lorenzo E. Ramzey— East Northport
- Daniel Smith II— Northport
- Daniel Trant— Northport
