Not His First Bank: East Northport Bank Robber Arrested, Police Say
The bank robbery occurred Thursday afternoon.

UPDATED at 11:05 a.m.: An East Northport man with a criminal history was arrested for robbing an East Northport bank on Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Nicholas Bono, 29, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday and charged with third-degree robbery. He was held at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.

On Wednesday at 2:44 p.m., police say Bono entered Bank of America, located at 385 Larkfield Road, and demanded cash.
The teller complied with his demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police say. Bono then fled the bank on foot, police say.
