Retiring Northport-East Northport Superintendent Celebrated
Students and staff celebrated Robert Banzer with a surprise flash mob and performance.

NORTHPORT, NY — Northport-East Northport Superintendent Robert Banzer, who is retiring after eight years in the role, was celebrated with a surprise flash mob and Tiger Marching Band performance at his final Superintendent’s Conference Day, the school district announced.
As teachers gathered in the Northport High School Commons, dozens of students accompanied the group in the special "thank you" flash mob. The band began playing to signal the start of the show, as elementary, middle and high school students each made their way to the designated dance floor. Staff then joined in dancing as the band played on.
Banzer looked on from the balcony with the Tiger mascot as students presented him with a decorative crown and cloak.
