Snow Emergency Declared For Northport Village
BREAKING: Residents are asked to park their cars off roadways to help with snow removal.

Northport Mayor George Doll declared an official snow emergency for Northport Village starting Tuesday at 12:01 a.m.
A snow emergency means the mayor has the power to close roads, appropriate necessary equipment from all sources and make necessary purchases without following the usual procedures. The declaration also make it possible for all Northport Village employees to assist the Highway Department as needed.
Doll asks all residents to stay off the roads until Tuesday at 5 p.m. in addition to avoiding unnecessary driving.

Residents are also asked to park their cars off the roadway to help with snow removal and allow access to emergency vehicles.
All activities and scheduled meetings at Village facilities have been canceled.
