StarLight Presents Annika Bennett and Scott Wolfson and Other Heroes
An upbeat evening of music in a wonderfully intimate setting in Northport
On Friday, February 19, indie-folk band Scott Wolfson & Other Heroes will share the bill with singer-songwriter Annika Bennett as part of the Northport Arts Coalition’s StarLight Concert Series.
With a formidable vocal range and some very unique guitar work, Annika’s sound is fresh and original, drawing from a depth of wisdom that far belies her youth. She recently received ASCAP’s prestigious Robert Allen Award for excellence in songwriting. Scott Wolfson & Other Heroes creates “three-verse dramas” fueled by Scott’s signature songwriting and the band’s tightly woven arrangements. Driven by toe-tapping melodies and rootsy instrumention, seeing them live is always a treat. To make matters more exciting, this will be an Official Release of their new CD, “Welcoming The Flood”. Both Annika and Scott Wolfson were Emerging Artists at this past summer’s Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
Join us at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 270 Main Street, Northport. Doors open and open-mic sign-up at 7:00pm. Show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $14.
