'Sweet And Affectionate' Calypso: Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week
Calpyso, a 2-year-old female calico, already had a litter of kittens. "She was an amazing mom," but she is now looking for her own home.

NORTHPORT, NY — Calypso, a 2-year-old female calico is, once again, the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Cat of the Week.
Calypso at such a young age has already had a litter of kittens, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.
"She was an amazing mom, very protective and took great care of her babies," Wild said. "When it was time to separate her from her babies she was very sad. We placed her in our habitats, but she did not do well there so now she is back in foster care, where she may have to stay until adopted, since she gets so upset in the habitats."

Calypso is sweet and affectionate, Wild said. She adores people and attention. Calypso gets stressed around other cats, and should be an only pet in an adult or older teenager home, as she gets nervous sometimes with a lot of commotion.
"She loves music, it relaxes her as she cuddles up by your side. She is a very special girl and would love to find her forever home soon!"
Calypso is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
If you are interested in meeting Calypso, you may head to the Northport Cat Rescue Association website and fill out an application to let them know you would like to meet her or any of the rescue's other wonderful kittens and cats.
