'Sweet' Cool Ranch And Marco: Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Cool Ranch and Marco, 4-month-old bonded brothers, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week. They were both born in foster care.

"When Cool Ranch and Marco’s mom was abandoned at an apartment building, a kind lady took her in and then realized that she was pregnant," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "Cool Ranch and Marco are very lucky kittens because since they were born in her apartment, they’ve never known anything but love and safety."

They were fostered with a dog, and are totally fine with them, Wild said. They are also great with other cats.

"In fact, there is not much that Marco and Cool Ranch are not good with," Wild said. "They are sweet and extremely affectionate."

Cool Ranch seems to look after Marco, Wild said. Cool Ranch is also one of the most chatty kittens some of the volunteers have ever met, she added.

"When he meows it actually sounds like words are being pronounced and he is telling the world, 'Hey please come meet me and my brother we need a home!'" Wild said.

Marco is gentle and kind a bit timid but so sweet and playful, too, according to Wild.

"These two are an absolute dream. If you’re looking for a pair of kitties these are your boys."

Currently, they are at Petco Commack.

"When you go visit them, Cool Ranch will be sure to talk to you and stick his little paw out of the habitat to get your attention. They are simply perfect," Wild said.

They are neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
