Syringe Disposal Unit Now At Northport Police Headquarters
Residents can now drop off and dispose of drugs as well as syringes at police headquarters at any time.

The Northport Police Department will now be collecting unwanted and used syringes through its new Syringe Disposal Unit.
“The addition of the syringe collection box, along with the drug box helps to ensure that these items don’t get into the hands of someone who may abuse them, and this proper disposal prevents them from harming the environment.” Northport Police Chief Bill Ricca said. “As with the drug disposal, there will be no questions asked when someone drops off syringes, the goal is to safely dispose of these items.”
