Vaccines Required For Northport's Engeman Theater Patrons
Showgoers must prove they are fully vaccinated in order to attend an event, according to the theater.

NORTHPORT, NY — People will need to provide proof they are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus to attend a show at the Engeman Theater in Northport, according to guidelines posted on the theater's website.
A vaccination card or Excelsior Pass are both acceptable forms of proof. Customers over the age of 12 will need to offer proof. In order to be considered fully vaccinated, the performance date one wishes to attend must be:
- At least 14 days after the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or
- At least 14 days after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.
Kevin O'Neill, owner of Engeman Theater, told News 12 Long Island that it was "completely" a business decision — not a political one — to require theater customers to be vaccinated. O'Neill says the theater received criticism for not having a policy in place, and that led to a drop in ticket sales.
