NORTHPORT, NY — Violet and Blossom, bonded 3-month-old sisters, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

"As beautiful as Violet and Blossom are on the outside, their inner beauty is even greater," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "Sweet, affectionate, calm, and silly. They have been fostered since babies and are amazing in every way. They are so calm that when our rescue was asked for a pair of kittens to photograph for 'Fetch Pet Insurance,' they were the perfect candidates and will be on the company’s website in January. They are famous!"

They are "terrific" with other cats, kids and are ready for adoption, said Wild.

"We would love for them to be in their forever home before the holidays and grow up together as they are very bonded to each other," she said.

The Northport Cat Rescue Association will be having an adoption event at the Elwood Public Library at 1929 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18.
