Wilson, Murphy And Fudge: Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Wilson and Murphy, 6-month-old kittens, and Fudge, an 8-month-old kitten, are waiting at Doggie Don's in East Northport for their forever homes, said Lora Wild, a volunteer at the Northport Cat Rescue Association.

"They are hoping for a miracle …a home for the New Year," Wild wrote.

Wilson and Murphy are tabby brothers that the rescue wants adopted together.

"They are very sweet, affectionate and silly," Wild said. They have the most adorable little personalities, easy going and accepting of all."

Fudge, a black kitten, was fostered with the pair and is a total lap kitty and mush ball, Wild said. He is a total cuddle bug, she added.

"When our furbabies are in their wonderful foster homes, it is a taste of what life in a warm and cozy home will be like," Wild said. "These three thrived, getting along with all the other kitties in the home and loving all the attention they received from their foster family. You can only imagine how confusing it can be when it comes time to move them to our habitats so that they may get the exposure they need to find their forever homes. If they could only understand it is just part of their journey … and not forever."

When Wilson and Murphy went into a cage, the rescue put Fudge right next to them in his own cage, Wild said.

"As our wonderful volunteers got to know them, they realized how silly and more comfortable Fudge was when he was still able to cuddle up with his buddies, and so it is usually musical cages on a daily basis," she said. "It is totally fine with us, and Wilson and Murphy too, but what they all really need is to get out of there and find their happily ever after."

Wild encouraged people to share information about the trio or to come visit them at Doggie Don's in East Northport.

"Whether you are looking for one, two or maybe even all three, these are your boys!" Wild said.

They are all neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
