Winter Garments Sought For Northport's Operation Warmth

Jackets, coats, hats, gloves and scarves are being collected by the chamber of commerce to help those in need. Here is how to donate.

NORTHPORT, NY — Operation Warmth is underway. The Northport Chamber of Commerce is collecting winter garments to help adults and children in need, the chamber told Patch.

The chamber is seeking gently-used and clean warm jackets, coats, hats, gloves and scarves. Items can be dropped off between Jan. 7 and Jan. 21. Below are the drop-off locations:

  • Jones Drug Store at 100 Main St.
  • Cow Harbor Realty at 67 Main St.
  • Copenhagen Bakery (back lobby) at 75 Woodbine Ave.
  • Dutch Girl Cleaners at 705 Fort Salonga Road.
  • Peoples United Bank at 836 Fort Salonga Road.
