Wising up in the New Year!

We all have the same fears, hopes, dreams and desires. I am you and you are me.

We all come from the same place and will end up in the same space.

We all bleed the same blood and cry the same tears, yearn to be heard and want to be held.

We all love the music but want the noise to stop at the same time.

I want you to know my pain, not feel it and I want to know yours and heal it.

In my quietest moment my thoughts are my own.

And in a moment of terror I need the world to hear them.

We want unconditional love, but we put conditions on everyone.

We want to be forgiven, but we cannot forgive.

We are all the same and shed the same skin, but cannot stand the idea of difference.

In the new year I want to not take myself so seriously and laugh a little more.

~Not take everything so personally and shrug off what I can’t control.

~Accept the way things are.

~Quiet myself and ask what is my best intention?!

~Investigate more, ask questions. Ask someone how they feel.

~Experience life and seek answers in nature.

In 2014, I vow to practice what I preach, let go of bitterness and revenge, stop grieving over past hurts and allow light to lead my path. I will stop before I speak, leave a room before I preach and hug before I howl. I am a female wolf, a packing animal, wild and alive. I will put down my pride and pick up compassion, let ego slide and allow you your faults as I have so many. I will pray each day for peace and lay down my weapons. Cook up a feast and walk our new beast. I will be grateful for each new day and the friends along the way. I will walk with a gentle stick to guide my way and seek His advice each step of each new day. Happy New Year, make it a safe, happy, healthy one. Learn something, teach someone, and walk barefoot in the sand. Peace Out!
