Woman Shot In Leg Involved In East Northport Crash
The man driving her crashed after she was shot somewhere else earlier in the day, police say.
EAST NORTHPORT, NY — A woman was shot Friday afternoon in East Northport before being involved in a one-car crash, Suffolk police said.
Officers who responded to a crash in front of the 300 block of Second Street at 4:27 p.m. found the woman in the passenger seat of a 2007 Nissan Altima with a gunshot wound to her leg. She suffered the injury during an incident elsewhere, police said. The woman and the man driving were brought to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle was impounded. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
