UPDATED: Police ID Woman Struck by Minibus in East Northport
The bus company employee was airlifted to a local hospital for serious injuries, police say.

Authorities identified a bus company employee who suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a minibus in East Northport Tuesday morning, police say.
According to authorities, Joanne Fuller-Astarita, 57, of East Northport, was walking up the driveway of Baumann and Sons Bus Company, located at 24 Railroad Ave., when she was struck by the bus turning into the business at 10:15 a.m.

Fuller-Astarita was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the minibus, a 61-year-old Huntington Station man, was not injured.
The minibus was inspected at the scene by officers from the Motor Carrier Safety Section. The investigation is continuing.
