Yokohama Sushi Restaurant Gutted By Kitchen Fire

EAST NORTHPORT, NY — Yokohama, an East Northport Japanese restaurant that specializes in sushi, was devastated by a fire on Wednesday.

Suffolk Police reported the fire at 5:53 a.m. When the Commack Fire Department arrived, the kitchen was on fire, the department told Patch.

No one was injured, Commack FD said. The fire is being investigated, but the Commack FD said it's not suspicious. No one was in the building when the fire started.

Calls made to Yokohama regarding when the restaurant will re-open went unanswered.

The East Northport Fire Department helped put out the fire.

Yokohama is located at 3082 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport.
