• Norwich receives $1.18 million from NYS for parks (wbng.com) — Norwich is getting a $1.2 million boost to overhaul Weiler Park and Angelino Fields, replacing aging equipment and adding long-needed accessibility upgrades. City leaders say the "Unplug and Play" grant should make the popular park safer, ADA-compliant, and more welcoming for young children, people with disabilities, and residents who rely on the trail for everyday exercise.
• CCHS Hosts Return Of Pride Paranormal For 'Path Through History' Weekend (evesun.com) — Norwich's historic Ward School No. 2 will open after dark on Oct. 9 for "Haunted History," a paranormal investigation led by Pride Paranormal at the Chenango County Historical Society. Adults 18 and over can explore the galleries, learn about local history and ghost-hunting techniques, and support long-term preservation of the landmark building through free-will donations.
