4AM DWI on High Avenue in Nyack

An Airmont 27-year-old was charged.

NYACK, NY — An Airmont man faces a charge of driving while intoxicated in Nyack after an incident Dec. 9.

Orangetown police said Julian Vega, 27, was pulled over at 4:04 a.m. on High Avenue for a traffic violation. They observed numerous signs of intoxication, they said, including boozy breath, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. He failed numerous field sobriety tests, they said, before being taken to police headquarters where he consented to and failed a breathalyzer test.

He is due in Nyack Justice Court Jan. 10.
