8 Charges for Nyack Teen after Domestic Dispute

Strangulation, assault, menacing and more

Orangetown police report the arrest of a 17-year-old from Nyack whose name they withheld.

The charges against him stem from a domestic incident reported to the police on Feb. 13.

He was charged with second-degree strangulation, third-degree robbery and third-degree criminal michief, felonies; plus third-degree assault, second-degree menacing, second-degree unlawful imprisonment; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree harassment, all misdemeanors.

Police said he was arrested at 4:45 p.m. March 8 and taken to Orangetown Police Headquarters without incident. After processing, he was released with a future court date in Nyack.
