• Vermont Man Arrested After Loaded Handgun Found During Thruway Stop In Nyack (monseyscoop.com) — State Police stopped a car on the New York State Thruway in Nyack and say they found a loaded 9mm handgun and high-capacity magazine, leading to felony weapon charges for a Vermont driver. He was arraigned locally, jailed on significant bail, and is due back in Orangetown Town Court, as police remind travelers to follow New York's strict gun laws.
