First of all I love my little town I can never say enough positive things about Nyack. I can tell you the best coffee, the prettiest street with flowers and how to avoid the potholes on foot or by car. I shop local when I can which bring me to the problem at hand - the hours.
In the last three days I have tried to buy presents at a few different shops and either the store wasn’t open until 11am or 12noon, or there’s a sign on the door saying be back shortly. I mean I know we are a little town but you have to be open.
Its summer hire a student to sit in the store if you have to run out for a few minutes. We all shop at big chain stores and are adept at dealing with store clerks who don’t know much about the merchandise. Just don’t close in the middle of the day.
I know it may look like I’m just strolling but I have a schedule too – I’m looking after a little human full-time, trying to fit some paid work in my day and taking care of errands. Just an observation shop owners, help us loyal shoppers help you.
