Asphyxiation Was Cause of Death at Summit Children's Residence Center
The girl's death was a suicide, police say.

The 15-year-old girl who died Sept. 5 at the Summit Children’s Residence Center in Upper Nyack died of asphyxiation, officials have ruled.
The Clarkstown Police Department received the official report on the cause of death from the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The death has been deemed to be a suicide by asphyxiation, police officials said.
