Body Of Nyack Man Found At Hook Mountain

The community is mourning the death of art historian Richard Kendall, who went missing Wednesday.

NYACK, NY — After days of searching for Nyack resident Richard Kendall, police found his body in Nyack Beach State Park at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Detectives found him after an extensive search of a heavily wooded area at the foot of Hook Mountain.

"We extend our condolences to his family during this difficult time," Orangetown police said on Facebook. "We would like to thank everyone who assisted with the search and with this investigation."
