Bundle Up for Holiday Lights of Nyack
Annual Tree Lighting Celebration is Dec. 5 -- and the firefighters will help Santa come to town!
Bundle up for a brilliant celebration as Nyack Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual “Holiday Lights of Nyack” event on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at the Veterans Park Gazebo on Main and Cedar Streets.
Be sure to pick up something warm to drink ― free hot chocolate served by Patisserie Didier Dumas, free hot coffee offered by Sweetpea’s Market and free hot cider provided by Mostly Myrtle’s, a prominent vendor at the Nyack Farmers’ Market.
Music will be offered by the Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus under the direction of Jared Rosenblum, as well as the musical stylings of Alice and Richard DiSanto, Jeff Doctorow, and Lorena Mann, who will perform holiday favorites. The Bossy Frog Band, with Jeffrey Friedberg, will also lend its special brand of musical fun to the festivities.

To top off the merriment, the Highland Hose Company has made special arrangements for a visit from Santa Claus himself — and if everyone is good, there will be presents.
“Holiday Lights of Nyack has become a much-loved tradition in our community. The spirit of the season comes alive with caroling, hot chocolate and cider, Santa and the twinkling lights,” said Scott Baird, President of the Nyack Chamber of Commerce. “Come for the lights, and stay for the shopping and dining. Our local businesses are spreading the good cheer with special offers for diners and shoppers before and after the event.”

This year’s Holiday Lights of Nyack is made possible by Dr. Dwayne Bodie, DDS who is sponsoring the event, and by the generous support of Chamber members and local businesses. The Chamber thanks The Pour House for donating the tree, and Highland Hose Company for working their special connections with the North
Visitors will enjoy free parking for Holiday Lights — and every weekend through Dec. 20 in Nyack’s municipal parking lots. (Street parking meters will still be in effect.) Signs throughout the village will direct visitors to parking lots.
“There’s plenty to see and do in our vibrant downtown Village,” said Baird. “Holiday Lights of Nyack shines the light on winter fun.”
