Tony Winner Cady Huffman at Elmwood Playhouse

Audience members on May 31 are invited to join us after the performance for a post-show discussion with Tony award winning actor Cady Huffman, who starred in the Broadway production of The Nance opposite Nathan Lane. Moderated by Peabody winning broadcaster Elliott Forrest, the conversation is sure to include anecdotes and insights that may be as entertaining as the show itself!

The Nance is onstage at Elmwood through June 7. Praised as “A nearly perfect work of dramatic art” (The New Yorker), this powerful drama sheds light on the lives of comedic burlesque performers during the final days of Vaudeville.

Set in the late 1930s, The Nance captures the poignant contrast between the laughter of burlesque and the realities of a changing world. Incorporating iconic comedy and music of the Vaudeville age, The Nance is as hilarious as it is heartbreaking.

Directed at Elmwood by Alan Demovsky, the cast includes Chad Paul Hudson , Aaron Newcome , Andrew Lionetti , Tiffany M. Card, Sam Snyder, Candace Lynn Matthews, Liam Thomas, Janet Fenton .

THE NANCE runs through June 7, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, with a captioned performance on Thursday June 5 at 8 pm
