Carry The Load, a national nonprofit working to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day, will come through Rockland tomorrow and Wednesday as part of its annual relay.
CTL is a nonprofit with a vision to connect individuals from all over the country to the sacrifices of fallen military, law enforcement, firefighters and other service personnel through a National Relay and collection of donations to benefit CTL partners.
Carry The Load orchestrates a 2,000-mile national relay– a walk consisting of 348 legs, beginning in West Point, NY at the beginning of May, and ending up in Dallas, TX on Memorial Day.
The 2014 relay starts April 29 in West Point. The relay participants should pass through Congers around sunset, Nyack at 10PM and Piermont at midnight. On April 30 Carry The Load will head south to Alpine, NJ and beyond.
