Cops Investigate Nyack Shooting

The victim was shot in the leg while walking home, he told Orangetown police.

Orangetown police were called to 100 Nyack Plaza at 1:15 a.m. Sunday when shots were reported. They saw people running from the scene, as well as a car driving away.

When they stopped the car, they found a man inside who had been shot in the leg. He told them he had been walking home when he was shot. He said he was headed to the hospital.

Police report the victim was treated and released from Nyack Hospital.

Orangetown police and the Rockland County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating. Anyone with information should call Orangetown police detectives at 845-359-2121.
