Cops Seek Public's Help Finding Parole Absconder

Rockland sheriff's deputies, state troopers and local police searched Stony Point Friday to no avail.

State Police are seeking the public’s help in looking for a wanted person, Antonio Kelly, 31, of Middletown.

Kelly is wanted for abandonment of a child, endangering the welfare of a child, and Vehicle and Traffic charges stemming from a traffic stop on Nov. 21.

He was last seen in Stony Point.

At 11:40 AM Dec. 4, State Police received information that Kelly was at a business on South Liberty Drive in Stony Point.

Troopers contacted Stony Point Police, who responded to the location. Kelly ran away when he encountered the Stony Point officers. Troopers, Stony Point Police officers, and officers from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office searched the area for Kelly without locating him.

He ran from the state police previously after being stopped in Middletown. Troopers believe that Kelly fled because he is wanted by New York State Division of Parole as an absconder.

There is an active warrant out for him.

Troopers ask that if anyone knows Kelly’s whereabouts, or sees him, to call State Police in Middletown at 845-344-5300.
