From Rockland BOCES:Looking at the law! Local students participating in the Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTEC) Criminal Justice program this week received a special visit by Rockland County Attorney Thomas Humbach. The County Attorney serves as the chief legal advisor to the executive and legislative branches, charged with overseeing all legal affairs of county government. Topics of discussion included the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments, with particular focus on civil liberties and our protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Ahfat has been described as an artist that “leaves no question about his riveting presentation and technical finesse.” (Seattle Times) Their program will include: Arvo Pärt: Fratres, Handel: Affetuoso and Allegro from Sonata in D Major, HWV 371, Prokofiev: Violin Sonata No. 2 in D Major, Op. 94a, Conrad Tao: All I had forgotten or tried to, Brahms: Sonata No. 3 in d minor, Op. 108.
