Court of Honor for Eagle Scout Alexander Kanarian

He constructed two new walkways at the Atonement Lutheran Church in Stony Point.

Alexander Kanarian of Boy Scouts of America Troop #10 in Stony Point was recognized for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, a distinction earned by only 4% of all Boy Scouts nationwide. County Executive Day presented Alexander with an Award of Excellence on behalf of the County during a weekend Court of Honor ceremony at the Atonement Lutheran Church in Stony Point.

Alexander’s Eagle Leadership Service Project involved the construction of two new walkways that were in need of repair at the Atonement Lutheran Church in Stony Point. One walkway was cracked and beginning to crumble, while the other walkway had risen upwards due to a broken pipe making it difficult for people to exit the building. Both walkways were repaired and replaced with pavers making the surface level, safe and more attractive to those who visit the church.
