VALLEY COTTAGE, NY — A crash at 4 a.m. Sunday sent a Haverstraw woman to the hospital. Clarkstown police said the crash, on Route 9W in Valley Cottage, happened when the car in which she was a passenger left the road and struck a tree. It took emergency responders more than half-an-hour to get the 23-year-old out of the car. The man driving her was not injured. No arrests or summonses have been made.
