Death at the Palisades Center

UPDATE: Police released some details about the woman who apparently jumped to her death. She was a 57-year-old Briarcliff Manor resident, police said.

WEST NYACK, NY — Clarkstown Police are investigating a death at the Palisades Center mall. At 1:20 p.m. Monday, an adult woman fell from the fourth to the first floor, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigation suggests that she jumped, police said. The incident took place in the center of the mall.

Her name, age and address are being withheld pending notification of the next-of-kin.
