Dish Wireless To Go Before Nyack ARB: Upcoming Nyack Meetings

NYACK, NY — As the new year begins, our local officials are busy conducting the public's business in plain sight.

John Adams famously wrote, "Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right … and a desire to know."

There are plenty of upcoming chances to help tend to our democracy close to the roots. Several public meetings are scheduled for this week in and around Nyack and Piermont.

The Orangetown Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and will hold a public hearing on three applications, one in Grand View-on-Hudson.

In Nyack, the Architectural Review Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at village hall. Dish Wireless is before the ARB to discuss its proposal for a rooftop installation at 36 S. Broadway.

The Piermont village Board of Trustees meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Upper Nyack village Board of Trustees regular meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Old Stone Meeting House, 347 North Broadway, Upper Nyack, NY. On the agenda:

1. Public Hearing for Local Law #1 of 2023 amending the 2022 Zoning Law of the Village of Upper Nyack.
2. Public Hearing for Local Law #2 of 2023 repealing Village of Upper Nyack General Ordinance 5.13.
3. Public Hearing for Local Law #3 of 2023 amending General Ordinance 1.3a, Placing Refuse and Other Materials on Streets, Sidewalks, and Other Places
