At about 10: 17 a.m. the pilots of the Bell 407 radioed for assistance and advised that they were making an emergency landing inside State Line Lookout due to a smoke condition in the cockpit. The helicopter made hard landing, skidding roughly 30 feet before coming to rest. There were no injuries. The Alpine Fire Department responded and found no active fire, Palisades Parkway police said.
