Free Breast Cancer Screenings at Nyack Hospital Friday

The Breast Center at Nyack Hospital is offering FREE Breast Cancer screenings for uninsured or underinsured women, age 40 and over from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

The screenings include a clinical breast exam, mammography and, if needed, pelvic exams with PAP tests.

The event is funded by The Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen and the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Chronic Disease Control, Capital One Bank, Mercedes Benz of Nanuet and Nyack Hospital.

This lifesaving program has been a success in the past, using the latest technology to identify, diagnose, treat, and prevent breast cancer from occurring in women. This is a chance for anyone who cannot afford insurance, much less a routine mammography and clinical breast examination, to receive one, State Sen. David Carlucci's office said.
