GARNER ARTS FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ART and TEXTILES Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31, 2015 11am – 6 pm

IT’S BACK! GARNER Arts Center is bringing back its much loved annual Arts Festival. To celebrate the National Historic District listing of the former textile mill where GARNER Arts Center is located, GARNER will host a Textile Arts Extravaganza!
-Contemporary textile exhibitions
-Weaving, knitting, dyeing workshops with Textile Arts Center
-Sheep to shawl demonstration
-Textile craft vendor marketplace
- Metal-casting installations by Art Shape Mammoth
Art Exhibitions: Including the Mike Connor Retrospective Exhibit
Open Studios: Painters, sculptors, woodworkers, fiber artists, jewelers and more
Student Exhibition: Art projects from students throughout the region
Music: Live folk, jazz, alternative rock and gamelan
PLUS: Dance performances; Spencer Tunick Artist-in-Residence; Film; Kids Art Workshops; Food: from Hippie Hot Dogs to farm to table; and Lagunitas Beer Garden!
