Help Thy Neighbor: Donate Blood During Drive At Palisades Center

The organizers hope to collect 150 donations, which can help up to 450 patients.

WEST NYACK, NY — The New York Blood Center is hosting a blood drive Monday, Tuesday, and Dec. 29-30 at Palisades Center.

Before the coronavirus pandemic started, mobile blood drives hosted by high schools, colleges, businesses, and other organizations made up roughly 75 percent of the region’s incoming blood supply. The number of blood drives has dropped by two-thirds in 2020 due to the pandemic, NYBC officials said.

It's such an easy way to help your neighbors. The donation center is located on Level Two near Macy’s. The NYBC is taking extra precautions to help prevent the person-to-person spread of the coronavirus. Information on donor eligibility and COVID-19 precautions is available here.
