Library Votes Coming Up Dec. 14 In West Nyack, Piermont
Voting will take place at each library; polling hours differ.
NYACK, NY — Library votes are coming up Dec. 14 in Piermont and West Nyack.
Piermont voters have a chance to weigh in on the proposed budget of $412,600 for Fiscal Year 2024, starting July 1, 2023. It includes a tax levy increase of 2 percent, about $2.31 for the average residential property owner. They will also be asked to elect three trustees running unopposed for the library board. The vote will take place at the Dennis P. McHugh Piermont Public Library, 25 Flywheel Park West. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In West Nyack, voters are asked to weigh in on a proposed $1.39 million spending plan for next year. Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the West Nyack Free Library.
