Local Production of Neil Berg's '100 Years of Broadway' to Benefit Association for Visually Impaired
The showman and the charity (both Rockland County based) are putting together the May 28 show.

The Association for the Visually Impaired in Rockland County is putting together a great Broadway show with renowned producer Neil Berg called, “100 years of Broadway” at the historic Lafayette Theater in Suffern to raise money to continue their programs.
The association helps blind and visually impaired children and adults function to their fullest potential through The Independent Living Skills Program. This program promotes the development of skills to foster independent living. Orientation and Mobility Instruction, Rehabilitation Teaching, Social Work Services, Volunteers and Educational/Support Groups are provided.
“100 Years of Broadway” recreates the greatest moments from the finest shows of the century featuring the actual stars of shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Jekyll & Hyde. These amazing performers light up the stage with songs from the hit shows in which they starred. Neil Berg presents brilliantly revived arrangements of Broadway classics as well as thrilling numbers from Broadways newest hit shows.
Reviewer Jerry Friedman of KABC Radio in San Francisco called it “One of the best shows I’ve ever seen!”
As owner of Leftfield Productions, Inc., based in Nyack, Berg has produced over a thousand Broadway concerts worldwide. Berg is the composer/lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, which ran for two years at the Lambs Theater in New York City. His musical ‘Tim and Scrooge,’ with book and lyrics by Nick Meglin, was voted “one of the best musicals” of the inaugural NYMF festival in NYC, and garnered a glowing review in the NY Times after it opened for an Equity run at The Queens Theater in the Park, starring TONY nominee Bobby Steggert. He was also the recipient of the 1995 Bistro Award for Best Musical for his show Asylum in the Night, a revue of his theater music.
There are 4 different ticket options for the night.
Prior to the show patrons can enjoy a 3-course dinner with wine at Marcello’s Restaurant and after the show there will be a cocktail party (at Marcello’s also which includes appetizers & wine) where theater-goers can meet and chat with the cast of the show and mingle.
