steadfast pursuit of their mission of caring for the needy, serving the local community, preserving the land, advocating for peace.
A photo retrospective traces their work: restoring a derelict farm; establishing a summer camp for the immigrants they minister to in their settlement house on the Lower East Side; establishing a novitiate for prospective members of their community, then creating the Marydell Faith and Life Center and transferring 30 acres to the Palisades Park Commission as their mission adapts to the realities of a dwindling community.

In addition to a remarkable collection of photographs, newspaper articles, and similar memoribilia, you will find a replica of their Peace Pole, and observe a gnome from the famous "Gnomes of Marydell," memorialized in song by former Nyacker, John Babcock.
This exhibit opens on December 2, 2017, and can be seen on all following Saturdays through January and February 2018, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
The Museum of the Historical Society of the Nyacks is located in the historic Depew House behind Nyack Library and across from Memorial Park at
50 Piermont Avenue, Nyack, NY 10960. Enter below the front porch.
