New City Man Injures Nurse, Damages Nyack Hospital

Orangetown police took him from the hospital to the county jail.

NYACK, NY — A New City man who police say injured a nurse and damaged a room and equipment at Nyack Hospital faces felony and misdemeanor charges. Removed from the hospital, he was taken to Rockland County Jail.

Aaron Kinlaw, 32, grabbed a phone from a nurse and then hit her across the head with it before pulling down wires and ceiling tiles and knocking over a computer monitor, police alleged.

He faces charges of second-degree assault, a felony; plus fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal tampering, misdemeanors.

The violence happened at 12:25 p.m. May 15, according to Orangetown police.
