New Details on Tropical Storm Hermine’s Impact on Nyack's Weekend Weather

A Hazardous Weather Outlook includes Piermont; computer models show that the powerful storm's path has changed a bit overnight. BREAKING

NYACK, NY — In the Hudson Valley, the overnight hours have yielded some news concerning the potential impact Tropical Storm Hermine, which is soon to become a hurricane, may have on your Labor Day weekend plans.

There's a Hazardous Weather Outlook out for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, warning that coastal flooding impacts as well as heavy rain and strong winds are possible, depending on the exact track and strength of the system.

"As of Thursday morning, the threat to our area doesn’t appear major, but we have seen some major changes in the last 2 days… it wouldn’t take too many more changes to give our area some major headaches by Sunday and Monday," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.
