New Restaurant to Open in Nyack

BV’s Grill, “first cousin” to Bobby Van’s Steakhouse, will be opening at The Time Nyack when the new boutique hotel has its grand opening this month.

BV’s Grill will also be the hotel’s food and beverage partner, officials said in a press release.

Restaurant and hotel officials said they hope local residents will enjoy the restaurant as much as guests.

Chef Joseph Walsh, a Hudson Valley native, has been named Executive Chef and comes with experience in the NYC metro area including Valbella in Greenwich, CT; Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT and Dolce International at G.E. Global Headquarters in Fairfield, CT.

”We’re so excited to bring quality, creative American fare with a twist to the Nyack and greater Hudson Valley community”, said Walsh. “My focus will be to execute our classic New York City Steakhouse dishes to perfection while using local inspiration to design lighter and seasonal options sure to please every diner.”

The restaurant will feature steaks and seafood, as well as lighter grill options and will offer a large wine selection and bar.

Plans also are for BV’s Grill to run the hotel’s other food and beverage components including a seasonal smoothie bar in the pool area, room service, a grab-and-go station for snacks and quick bites, and a lobby bar. Additionally, the BV’s Grill organization will oversee the food and beverage for the property’s 2,500 square foot event space and ultimately the hotel’s rooftop, Top of the Time, which is set to debut later this year, officials said.
