Nominate a Nyack Resident for the County's Annual Environmental Volunteer Award

The Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources is taking nominations until April 1.

Do you know a local resident who has made volunteer service to our environment a priority? The Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources is now accepting nominations for the 18th annual County Executive’s Outstanding Environmental Volunteer Award.

The County Executive’s Outstanding Environmental Volunteer Award recognizes exceptional volunteers who care for our parks, champion our watershed programs, encourage recycling and work everyday to enhance the natural beauty of our county’s open spaces.

To be eligible to receive the award, a deserving individual must be at least 18 years of age and a Rockland County resident. Individuals who have been nominated in the past, but not chosen, are eligible to be re-nominated.

County Executive Ed Day will honor this year’s winner during a tree planting ceremony at Kennedy Dells Park in New City on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11 a.m.
