NY17 Candidate Adam Schleifer Hosts Virtual Rockland Town Hall

Democratic Congressional Candidate Adam Schleifer Addressed Questions from Local Activist and Members of the Rockland County Community

This past Sunday afternoon, NY-17 Democratic candidate Adam Schleifer hosted what has become an annual engaging town hall event. This virtual and public event emphasized Adam's proposed policies to take on the biggest issues facing Rockland County.

Local political and art activist Magdalena Truchan co-hosted and moderated the remote event; questioning Adam about his views on the biggest challenges facing the County, as well as overarching national issues. Throughout the hour-long conversation, Adam addressed questions from the audience and outlined his policy goals if given the opportunity to succeed Nita Lowey as the representative elected to serve Rockland and northern and central Westchester County. .

As a 13-year resident of Haverstraw, co-host Magdalena is member of the Democratic Committee and activist for progressive causes and the arts, she pressed Adam on a number of topics including abolishing the electoral college, affordable senior housing and infrastructure improvements, creative solutions for transit (including improved connections through NJ Transit and high-speed ferry solutions) and Adam's commitment to advocating for residents with disabilities.
