Nyack Black Lives Matter Street Mural Defaced
Police said they have not determined whether the incident was intentional.
NYACK, NY — A Black Lives Matters street mural was defaced in Nyack over the weekend, leading to a demonstration of more than 100 people. According to Orangetown police, they haven't determined whether the two motorcyclists who left parallel skid marks through the center of the artwork Saturday did it intentionally.
The mural had only been in place less than a day when it was defaced, the Journal News said.
After word got out about the mural, Nyack residents began lining the street holding up signs calling for racial equality.
